Black Jack® Elasto-Kool 1500 15yr, White Ceramic Elastomeric Coating is our best quality, white elastomeric roof coating. By enhancing the product with urethane, it’s water resistance, adhesion and life expectancy are greatly increased. Then to improve the product further, we add ceramic beads which improve the insulating properties of the coating. This helps stop the heat from passing through the coating and into your building, which results in significant savings on cooling costs! This product resists cracking and peeling damage by stretching up to 350%. The bright white color provides an excellent UV barrier to reflect the sun's heat and provides years of lasting protection. Don’t waste your money on this product. I live in Tucson Az. We had to coat out roof for the third time after a number of years using Elastek the first two times. We were totally happy with the performance of the Elastek roof coat but came across this product in a local store and saw that it had a 15-year warranty. It was the Black Jack 1500 roof coat. So, I thought wow this has to be better than the Elastek which I believe had a 7-year warranty at the time. So as per the instructions we applied it to our house which is a sloped roof. Well, no more than a few years and it was bleeding over the side of our house coating the plants with a white haze!!! And it got progressively worse. Attached are some pics (taken today) of the side trim of our house less than 6 mos. after getting it painted! As you can see instead of a dark brown trim, we have a nasty looking white wash looking trim!! Don’t waste your money on this roof coat!
